Sara Conca

Sara Conca is a self-taught, New York-based artist of Canadian Native American and French Italian descent. Conca credits her family's tendency to relocate several times per year during her childhood in Canada and Florida with inspiring her appreciation for ever-changing environments and settings. By the age of 17, she left America and was living and working in Paris; an experience that reinforced her need for movement, energy, and art. While in Paris, Ms. Conca studied sculpture at Ateliers D’Art De St Maur Des Fosses; an education that she continued when she returned to her home in Florida and assisted the critically lauded outsider artist Pervis Young. She later traveled to Canada where she worked with painter Graham Gillmore. Throughout the past 18 years in Manhattan, she has experimented
